I would like to take you into the spiritual journey
through the medium of classical Indian dance Bharatanatyam,
a highly sacred form of worshiping the Supreme Lord.
My journey of dance began in 1991 in Poland, the country of my birth. Together with a group of friends we initiated bhakti festival program that finally expand into the International Festival of India, traveling and performing in many places
in the world until today. Many prominent artists from all over the world has been participating in this unique event. One of them was Govardhana Devi Dasi who as a first professional dancer brought Bharatanatyam to Poland to the public stages.
I never seen before any live Bharatanatyam shows, so for me her recital was a very important event. I felt by heart that something is coming to change my life forever. After ten seconds of her dance tears were began dropping from my eyes. I was very touched by her performance, so I didn't hesitate to ask her to give me dance classes. That was my first and truly experience of Bharatanatyam world.
